We’re pleased to announce that the Afro Canadian Contractors Association (ACCA) has been selected to receive funding through Toronto Pearson’s Uplift Fund!
This investment will help us advance Project Ascend – Building Pathways to Success for BIPOC Contractors, supporting our efforts to develop more competitive BIPOC construction professionals and businesses, improve access to commercial contracting opportunities, and contribute to a more inclusive and equitable construction industry.
With support from Toronto Pearson, we can expand access to estimating and bidding training, business development support, and commercial contracting opportunities, helping more BIPOC contractors strengthen their businesses, compete for larger projects, and build sustainable pathways to growth.
All the recipients were announced at a ceremony at the Judith Nyman Secondary School in Brampton on September 22, 2026.
We’re grateful to @TorontoPearson for your partnership and continued commitment to creating pathways to economic opportunity in our communities.Together, we’re building pathways to success.
