Painting 101
The Red Oak Painting 101 Program is a 4-week hands-on training course, delivered twice a week, designed to introduce participants to the fundamentals of the painting trade while actively educating on the industry standards.
Program Summary
Participants will gain foundational knowledge and hands-on experience in key areas of professional painting, including:
Surface preparation, sanding, priming, and caulking
Safe and effective use of hand and power tools
Brush and roller techniques for clean, professional finishes
Understanding paint types, finishes, and site clean-up protocols
Communication, teamwork, and site readiness
Each class builds both technical ability and soft skills, preparing participants for real-world job sites and long-term success in the field.

Leo is the Founder and CEO of Red Oak Painting, a company dedicated to providing high-quality painting and refinishing services at accessible prices. Our motto, “Clean, Quality Craftsmanship,” reflects our unwavering commitment to excellence.
Originally from Philadelphia, PA, Leo moved to Brampton, ON, in 2011 and launched Red Oak Painting a year later. His passion for painting began in his teenage years, serving as both an escape and a way to support himself.
While painting may seem straightforward, it involves intricate techniques, quality tools, and meticulous preparation to achieve exceptional results. At Red Oak Painting, we’ve refined these skills through countless projects across the GTA and beyond.
