A Recap of Our 2024 Entrepreneurship in Construction course
In 2024, George Brown College and the Afro Canadian Contractors Association (ACCA) launched a transformative partnership to empower BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour) entrepreneurs in the construction industry. Together, they introduced the Entrepreneurship in Construction program, a focused initiative providing practical training in business development, financial management, and leadership.
By equipping participants with essential skills and fostering meaningful networking opportunities, the program addresses systemic barriers that have historically limited access and growth for BIPOC contractors. This partnership reflects a shared commitment to advancing diversity and inclusion in the construction sector while paving the way for a more equitable and innovative industry.
We look forward to continuing our collaboration and building an even stronger future together.
